So why would any individual want to be breathing in mold and other microorganisms if they didn’t have to? The answer is: they wouldn’t.

5Why did I not get it sooner!
By Daniel Valle
I love this dehumidifier! Both my wife and I moved to a new apartment in Pacifica, CA in a literal sense all over the street from the beach. We commonly leave our windows open so it vents a bit of fresh air but the problem is that humidity enters as well with the sea breeze. It got in truth damp in our apartment and so bad that I felt it each time I got in the blankets. I shopped around and found this dehumidifier online and thought it would be very helpful. When it came, no joke, it was like christmas. I tore it open with a twinkle in my eye and laughed with joy when I pulled it out. I read the instruction manual to make sure I didn’t ruin anything and it was a simple 3-6 step process. I set it up in no time and plugged it in to the wall to see what this bad boy may do. Within 12 hours, this 25 Pint dehumidifier was full. It held getting full for the next 4 days and now it is nice and arid in our 1 bedroom apartment. I actually love it!

1Terrible, returned immediately
By Philip Hutchison
This dehumidifier works, but is so fabulously earsplitting it isn’t usable.

We purchased two dehumidifiers at the same time: this one, and the Soleus Air CFM-40 E 40-Pint Dehumidifier with Humidistat. It’s perfectly astounding how dissimilar they are. We let both run all day while we were at work, and they both did a great occupation at gathering water.

However, the Frigidaire is so earsplitting we can’t use it *at all* when we’re home. No exaggeration. I turned it on in our bedroom, closed the door, then walked clear throughout the house to our dining room and could still listen it earsplitting and clear.

If I’m standing next to it while it’s on, I can’t listen a word my wife is saying. I have no idea how anybody may live with this in their home.

We’re returning it asap and getting a second Soleus. It’s a little more expensive, but it’s so quiet we may leave it on at night in our kids’ room and they may hardly listen it. The Soleus also has a more prominent water tank and takes up less space.

5Small dehumidifier
By PepperMintPatty
I searched reviews online for various days before buying this dehumidifier. I live in an exceedingly high humidity area, peculiarly in the winter time. (lots of rain) and I am allergic to mold, So actually necessitated a humidifier that may carry on to run in colder temps. I am not disappointed. I call this a “moisture sucking dynamo”. Like other reviewers, I have to mention that it isnt quiet. While it doesn’t vibrate, it does blow air out of the top that is very similar to a box fan on high. So, that may deter a lot of people, but not me, I like the ‘white noise’. This is very effective at removing humidity. The drain bucket is easy to remove and replace, and has a commodious handle to carry it to the sink for dumping. It has 4 wheels for easy mobility, but the unit is not heavy at all, so picking it up to carry to another room is finelooking easy. I’v had various dehumidifiers over the years and this is the best one so far. I highly commend this item. I am very happy with my purchase, well worth the price.
